Although the industry has moved over to PDF (portable document file) direct-to-plate format there is still sometimes a requirement for film to be produced for certain printers. Therefore we have retained this facility to accommodate our customers that use the conventional way of producing their plates.

Having two output facilities comprising Harlequin raster image processors linked to A3 Agfa imagesetters with in-line processors producing positive or negative film of varying screen resolutions.

With two imagesetters and two processors we have back-up and power to keep our production flowing to re-assure our customers that there will be no bottlenecks.

Film output is also used heavily in our flexographic department before commiting images to our platemaker.
